Policies

Standard Reservation

The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel within 14 days of arrival. If the guest doesn't show up, they'll be charged the total price of the reservation. The Guest will be charged a prepayment of 50% of the total price after booking. We will accept prepayment by: Credit card (unless guest requests other method) We will refund within: 7 days.

Flexible - 7 Days

The guest can cancel free of charge until 7 days before arrival. The guest wll be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel within 7 days of arrival. The Guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation at any time. We Will accept prepayment via Credit Card (unless the guest requests another method). We will refund within 7 days.

Flexible - 1 day

The guest can cancel free of charge until 1 day before arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel within 1 day of arrival. The Guest will be charged a prepayment of 50% of the total price after booking. We will accept prepayment by: Credit card (unless guest requests other method) We will refund within: 7 days.

Reservations prepayment policy

Bookings, made through our website a1aruba.com or any other channel (OTA's) are subject to approval and will only be considered confirmed once a reservation fee has been paid by the guest (prepayment), we do not allow payment upon arrival at the property, no exceptions.

The reservation fee is equal to the price of the booking for layovers, non-refundable reservations and 50% of reservation for longer stays.

Once a reservation is approved the card on file will be charged, we also have other payment options such as cash, PayPal, Zelle, wire transfer/ direct deposit of funds contact us for more information. We do not accept personal checks under any circumstances.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Rates, Discounts, Fees and Taxes

There are discounted Early-Bird and Non-refundable rates on our website
We offer discounts and special pricing for longer stays, events or group pricing so check with us what can be done in your particular case.
Rates are subject to change without notice.

Extra Fees

Though we do not require a damage deposit, the guest is still liable for any damage committed during their stay. For example a $150 cleaning fee may be applied if the guest smoke inside the Apartment. Our electronic keys, if lost carry a $15 Lost key fee. and in cases where the apartment was left in specially bad shape by guest an additional cleaning fee up to $100 can be applied. We also offer a pickup/dropoff service exclusively for guests that are booked with us and the price of a one-way ride is $20. upon request and availability we may also provide transfers to the beach.

Government Taxes

A $3/per day Tourist Tax and a 12.5% of total (2023) Environmental Fee is added to your final bill.

Cancellation policy

There is a grace period of 24 hours after booking, where one can cancel the reservation free of any charges (this excludes last minute bookings-made on the same day of arrival)

For standard reservations through our website or over the phone, email or WhatsApp please see above under Policies. For Bookings on our website using a promo code or following a promo link, check below if your promo has it's own terms. Important: if booking through an Online Travel Agent, please verify the chosen policy.

The guest can cancel an early-bird reservation free of charge until 30 days before arrival and will be refunded the reservation fee. The guest will be charged 100% of the reservation fee if they cancel in the 30 days before arrival. To apply as an Early-Bird reservation the reservation needs to be made more than 6 months before travel.

For non-refundable reservations we will try to work with the guest and let them use the reservation at a later date or transfer the reservation to a third party, we will absolutely not refund a non-refundable reservation under any circumstances, we recommend to get a cancellation insurance for such a case.

Parties

Parties/events are not allowed, This property will not accommodate birthday, hen, stag or similar parties.

Quiet hours

Guests must be quiet between 23:00 and 09:00.

Pets

Pets are allowed in certain apartments. Charges are applicable, in order to have a smooth booking and travel experience with your pet, contact us before booking.
We can provide eating/drinking bowl and a bed for your pet upon request. If your pet needs to stay in the airconditioned room while you are out let us know in advance.
At this time fees also apply for service animals.

Children of any age are welcome.

Infants 0-3 years stay free.

There is special pricing for children 4-16 years

Children aged 17 years and above are considered adults at this property.

Check-in / check-out

Check in between 13:00 and 23:00
Check out between 07:00 and 11:30

Please inform us in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact us directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Early check-in and late check-out may be requested but is based on availability, in most cases we can offer to keep your luggage for you if you have a late flight and based on availability can offer you a room to shower. Failure to Check out on time can result in an additional day being added to your bill.

Terms and Conditions - Dutch Caribbean Promo

Rate is based on double occupancy, extra persons will be charged a fee.
All reservations made with this discount code are considered, non-refundable and must be prepaid, if the guest needs to cancel the reservation then we will give them the oportunity to make use of the booked reservation (by changing dates) for up to 1 year.
Prepayment can be made via Cash, Credit or Debit -Card or Bank Transfer.
Minimum length of stay is 2 nights and there is no maximum length.

Terms and Conditions - Local Stay Promo

This promo can not be used in combination with any other special.
Only for Locals residing in Aruba, Valid ID needs to be presented.
Promo is valid from: June 1st 2023 to August 31st 2023 for reservations made through a1aruba.com using the discount code: Local or by email, whatsapp or phonecall
Rate is based on double occupancy, extra persons will be charged a fee.
Parties are not allowed, if the guest wants to bring "visitors" a maximum of 2 people are allowed to visit during the day to follow social distancing and aglomeration guidelines.
All reservations made with this discount code are considered, non-refundable and must be prepaid, if the guest needs to cancel the reservation then we will give them the oportunity to make use of the booked reservation (by changing dates) for up to 1 year.
Prepayment can be made via Cash, Credit or Debit -Card or Bank Transfer.
Minimum length of stay is 2 nights and there is no maximum length.

Terms and Conditions - Latin America Promo

This promo can not be used in combination with any other special.
Only for tourists visiting from Center and South America.
Promo is valid from: January 1st 2023 to December 31st 2024 for reservations made through a1aruba.com using the discount code: Latino or by email, whatsapp or phonecall
Rate is based on double occupancy, extra persons will be charged a fee.
All reservations made with this discount code are covered under our 14 day cancelation policy (see above) and a pre-payment of 50% of stay or $100 is to be paid upon booking.
If the guest needs to cancel the reservation more than 14 days before travel the deposit fee will be refunded if within the 14 days the deposit fee will be non-refundable however we will give them the oportunity to make use of the booked reservation (by changing dates) for up to 1 year.
Prepayment can be made via Cash, Credit or Debit -Card or Bank Transfer.
Minimum length of stay is 2 nights and there is no maximum length.
